The Duties of Job

The Logistics, Warehousing and Transport Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the movement, storage, distribution, and transportation of goods in line with company procedures and all relevant UK and international regulations. The role involves ensuring efficient, lawful, and cost-effective logistics operations while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational performance.

Key responsibilities include coordinating freight movement, import and export activities, warehouse operations, stock control, and transport scheduling. The Manager will prepare and manage shipping documentation, customs declarations, online freight systems, and compliance records to ensure the smooth execution of logistics activities.

The role requires regular communication with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, transport providers, and warehouse teams across relevant territories and countries to maintain positive business relationships and ensure operational efficiency. The Manager will liaise closely with the warehouse and distribution departments to ensure the swift and secure movement of goods through company facilities.

Additional duties include supervising logistics and warehouse staff, conducting operational planning, resolving delivery or transportation issues, preparing management reports, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The Manager will support business growth by identifying opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills together with knowledge in logistics, warehousing, transport, or supply chain operations. The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment and maintain compliance with all legal and operational standards is essential.
