Our bonded warehouse in Manchester lets you store imported goods under customs control with import duty and VAT suspended. Goods arriving by air, road or sea can be held until they are released for free circulation, placed under another procedure or re-exported. We also issue and discharge NCTS transit (T1/T2) documents.
Why use a bonded warehouse?
- Better cash flow. Duty and import VAT are suspended while goods stay in bond.
- No UK import duty on re-exports. Goods sent on to another country pay no UK import duty.
- Buy in bulk, release in part. Draw down stock as orders arrive.
- Time to sort paperwork. Hold goods safely while licences or documents are finalised.

Yes. Many clients release stock in batches as orders come in. We submit a declaration for each release and dispatch the goods like any other delivery.
Import VAT is also suspended, so bonded storage can still help cash flow when the duty rate is low. We’ll run the numbers with you before you commit.
